Wolves Star Out for Rest of EPL Season
Wolverhampton Wanderers forward, Pedro Neto, can expect to miss the rest of the English Premier League season, after he sustained a knee injury during the club’s match against Fulham last Friday, 9 April.
The 21-year-old Portuguese international was injured in the first half of the game, and left the pitch as a result. The Wolves went on to win 1-0.
Now, in a statement released on their website on Monday, 12 April, the Wolves confirmed Neto’s status.
The statement reads: “Pedro Neto suffered a significant injury to his patella (knee cap) during the match against Fulham and, following a review with a knee specialist in London at the weekend, surgery has been planned for later this week. Unfortunately, he is not expected to return to play until next season.”
The forward also faces the possibility of missing Portugal’s Euro Championship match against Hungary on 15 June if he does not recover in time.
